Potential Project Distractions (this week)

I see that lots of project bike builders have more than one project bike on the go at any one time. Why? I have one theory from my own experience. You are always scouring the web, classified adds, and adds in newspapers for that right part. So its inevitable that you will come across bikes that scream out 'BARGAIN'. These are a couple that I found just this week, an ancient TS250 complete for only $130 and a KDX250 for only $350 (very tempting). I also came across this RM125 with a complete front end, frame & siezed engine for $250. The RM would have been good to get had I had not have bought the relevant KX bits already. I still might buy it if I can get it for the right price, already offered $200 but was knocked back, give it a few months and see what happens.

Vintage Sumo with Beck White-walls

I do not think I really need to say anything more!

Vintage Post-War Supermoto Rims and Tyres Concept

If there was such a thing as a post-war supermoto, then this is a bit what it would look like. 18 inch Akront style rims front and back, shod with vintage Firestone tyres. They look great, but unfortunately their performance is also post-war.
